Dan Lednicer
The paintings in this collection were created using soft pastel sticks and pencils on acid-free paper. They retain the original texture since miniature pastels do not need to be fixed. Almost all of the originals measure 4 by 5 inches or smaller. Several in this collection have won awards at exhibitions of miniature paintings. Most of the works are available for purchase as-is or framed.
Dan Lednicer died in January 2021. He was perhaps better known in his lifetime as an organic chemist who spent his career in drug discovery. After he retired, he returned to artwork, something he had not done since his teenage years. Virtually all his paintings were rendered in pastel, In 2001, he switched from full-size works to miniatures. He exhibited in a large number of miniature art exhibitions and won numerous awards.
